Welfie with crews saying It's a wrapped!!

Love, Laughter and a Microphone

Not Lovebirds, But On a Valentine’s Podcast

On Thursday, 29 January 2026, Rush and I recorded the Valentine’s Day episode of the Openhaus podcast.

Author Sherri Eri and sound engineer Rush sharing a laugh with host Durga Poonambalam during the OpenHaus podcast. Durga is smiling and holding the book 'The Reindeer Princess & The Snow Owl,' as they discuss the joyful and creative process of developing inclusive stories for the Picture the Book imprint.

From the moment we arrived, we felt at ease. Durga, the host, welcomed us, and her crew kept the session relaxed and focused. It’s one thing to be interviewed. It’s another to feel heard — and we did.

Rush, my husband and the multitasker behind Picture the Book, peppered his answers with “Wow” uncountable times. That was how much he enjoyed himself!

We’re grateful to Writehaus for inviting us to be part of this Valentine’s Day instalment. Sharing our work and our partnership in an episode about love felt right.

There was also a light moment. Rush called us “lovebirds”… and I quickly disagreed. 😄

Either way, we enjoyed the conversation and the chance to tell our story. We can’t wait for you to hear the episode when it’s out.
